Bieber's new single What Do You Mean? has notched up more than 21
million streams on Spotify worldwide in just five days, setting a new
record on the app for the biggest first week for a single globally and
in the US.
The previous record holder was One Direction's Drag Me Down, Spotify said.
Meanwhile,
it has emerged that the Canadian singer will make a brief promotional
visit to Australia next month, where he will perform on a custom-made,
so-called "Bieber Island" in Sydney Harbour for a special iHeartRadio
Live performance on 30 September.
