afflicted with some of the most bizarre medical conditions you will ever
see.
1. Neurofibromatosis
Though not many know of this health condition, Neurofibromatosis is a
hereditary condition that carries higher chances of tumor formation in
the nerves, particularly within the brain region. It is also the same
disorder which the well-famed Joseph Merrick (AKA Elephant Man) was
afflicted with.
2. Polyostotic Fibrous Dysplasia
An isolated case of fibrous dysplasia that affects more than one bone
with the substitution of fibrous tissue, the very reason which causes
physical deformity and fractures. This rare medical condition can appear
in any part of the human skeletal system but may commonly appear in the
skull, ribs, upper arms, pelvis, thighs and shin.
3. Hypertrichosis

Commonly known as the Werewolf Syndrome, Hypertrichosis is an unusual
medical condition wherein there is an abnormal growth of hair all over
the body. The condition can either be inborn or acquired later.
4. Cutaneous Horns
This rare medical condition that has the appearance of horns are
actually tumors but they can also look like coral or wood branches from
afar. The skin growths are either classified as benign, malignant or
premalignant.
5. Haemangioma
This rare medical condition is benign, meaning it is not harmful and
the abnormal growth usually recedes overtime. However the same may not
be said in the case of Jose Mestre, a Portuguese, whose face tumor kept
getting bigger in size due to an increased number of veins and
capillaries filled with blood.
6. Polymelia
Persons afflicted with polymelia usually look like human spiders as there are numerous limbs attached to different body regions.
7. Noma
Noma is a serious disfiguring gingival ulcer which later turns to the
decomposition of body tissues known as gangrene within the mouth and
face area. Persons who usually suffer from noma are within the age
bracket of one to six.
8. Epidermodysplasia Verruciformis
This medical condition occurs due to an autosomal recessive genetic
disorder which is often identified with a strong chance of carcinoma of
the skin also known as human papillomaviruses (warts). People afflicted
with this rare disorder bear semblance to bark of trees.
9. Macrodactyly
Commonly known as local gigantism, this health disorder is described
as an enlargement of an entire limb. The most common case of
macrodactyly is the disproportionate growth of the toes or finger from
birth due to overgrowth of the soft tissue and underlying bone.
